Navala village - Fiji

Navala village.... in the heart of the Viti Levu island... 26km from the city BA...

It is really worth to visit! It is simply beautiful! Like in paradise! Because of the people, the houses, the nature... and hapiness... Really a unique experiense...
First of all, this was the first time we had to buy tha cava root! was funny... I had no idea you buy by gramms... Soooo, 600g was around 20 fijian dollar... Hope we didn't got it to much expensive... :) but how the locals can afford it for that price?

And all the houses look like this... without any exception!

As we were walking around the village with the guide... we asked so many questions!
So, we received plenty of information... The village was established around 1960... and there are 120 houses/ bures, 600 people living here (including children, adults, womans...etc-etc)
They build a new house when there is a new marriage... and takes about one month to build one.

This is the view upon arrival...

With the small water fall in the background... :)

Small streets around...

Small childrens everywhere...

Yes... this is the toilette...

This looks like a bit damaged...

Well... this is a saturday... looks so quit...

No windows... only doors... Did you realised?

And as we have had our present for the village... we have been invited to a sevusevu ceremony... which was really friendly and nice...

With our guide in the middle... :) He was soooo funny... He was still single... so, was wondering why not to keep me in the village.... haha

Yes, this is the cava stuff we had to drink... :)

Everybody waiting for his cup... :)

Well... it is still visible how high the water level was at the last week flooding...

A woman was washing his dogs in the river... :)

She was also washing some dresses... :)

And him.. he was washing some horses! :)

or himself... :)

Well... After the yesterday Fiji-France rugby game this is the real situation... :)

Oncle Prayitno is getting new friends aroud... :) With huge swards... :)
